  • Common Names: Peacock Plant, Zebra Plant
  • Description: Calathea Plants, native to tropical South and Central America, Africa, and the West Indies, are grown primarily for their beautiful, brightly colored, upright, oval leaves. The various Calathea varieties have leaves with purple undersides and various vibrant colorful patterns on the top side.

Calathea Medallion is one of the most beautiful and striking plants with large round medallion like leaves. Also known as Calathea Veichiana, this prayer plant has a dark green foliage with brush strokes of pink and white streaks around the edge of the leaves. This plant is not for beginners as it requires high humidity and frequent watering. However, it can tolerate low light and can thrive in dorms and apartments.

Keep very high humidity at 70 - 80%
